ENCAAS CARE PROVIDER

Care Providers maintain a therapeutic daily living environment for the individuals in the care of ENCAAS homes and outreach services.  They provide and maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere in a home setting that is culturally open and accessible to all individuals in ENCAAS care. They support the development of high-risk children, youth and adults whose family are unavailable or unable to meet their needs. The Care provider position reports directly to the individual ENCAAS Home Manager.

All full-time ENCAAS team members are able to apply for our full benefit package which is considered one of the leaders of benefit services offered in our community. Care Providers will receive a very competitive wage in comparison to other positions of equal responsibility in the community. Care Providers are able to become home Managers and/or Leadership Directors.

Requirements:

  • Criminal Records Checks with both MPSSG and Centralized Service HUB.

  • Proof of Immunization and TB testing

  • Relevant Post-Secondary training

  • Prefer 2 years’ experience within the field

  • Child Safety First Aid

  • Food safe

  • Driver’s License/Driver’s Abstract

  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention/ CPI – Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (available through ENCAAS)

  • ASSIST – Suicide Intervention (available through ENCAAS)

  • Completion of a Medical Clearance may be requested at any time and must be completed by your regular doctor.

ENCAAS has Care Provider positions in Prince George, BC and Kamloops BC.

There are also limited positions available for support staff including administrative and maintenance positions.

HOME SHARE PROVIDER

Are you looking for an opportunity to give back to the community, and to make a difference in an individuals life? Do you have room in your home that you own or rent to provide support to an adult living with a disability and want a flexible career option? Home Share might be right for you and your family. We find the right match for our providers, their families, and the people we support.

Once approved, Home share Providers become contracted service providers with Eagle Nest Communities and Aboriginal Services LTD. and make a difference in the lives of people who live with a disability in our communities.

Requirements:

  • Clear a Solicitors General Criminal record check (anyone over the age of 19 in the household).

  • Clear a home study Conducted by Eagle Nest Communities and Aboriginal Services LTD.

  • Obtain First Aid with CPR C.

  • Have the desire to make a difference in someone’s life

  • Have a room in your home for the individual
